trying sumthing new....

thought it would be nice to re-decorate my house with new art deco. so i was surfing the net & thought "hey... some canvas art is NOT bad actually" it sort of brightens up a room....
so who better to consult than my dear friend mrix....
she has given me a few tips for "kayu" starters like yours truly on what to get to start off this new project of mine. and so would like to share it with other readers as well....
1. get acrylic paints (they're often cheaper than oil paints) oso, tak bau. oil paints take longer to dry too. so, not v practical with young boys around. nanti habis rosak your art work
2. brushes: get good large flat-based ones, a medium sized ones and a coulpe of fine tip ones. type of brushes: mintak the shop for horse-hair nyer. always make sure its not boar hair ya? the really white brushes tu usually boar hair nyer. we cannot la use those
3. paints: buy lose paint tubes. rather than a complete boxed set of paints. ure essential colors should be WHITE (ni biar xtra tubes pun takpe... u'll use a lot of white as its opaque, covers previous coats of paints easily), YELLOW OCHRE, COBALT BLUE, PRIMARY RED, PRIMARY YELLOW. U mix these to get your GREENS, PURPLES, ORANGE & BLACK

its been a while
|
|
its really been a while since ive updated anyone about myself. i really dont know what to update people with. everything is very much the same. nothing interesting ever happen down under
nways, i thought people would like to know that we'll be moving this sunday. yeay!!! not that far a way... just the next suburb, a couple of mins away. so mrix, muna & manda.... you guys owe me a visit. ekekeke...where were we? ahh yes... the thought of moving is already tiring me out that when it comes to the actual packing, im already too exhausted. hmm.. hows that? go figure....
weather has been crap for the past 2 weeks or so. windy... sometimes sunny then it goes gloomy... then suddenly it rains heavily for 2 minutes or so, then back to sunny... and the whole jing bang repeats itself. weather's gone wild i suppose...
my sons... yesss, where do i begin....besides still driving me up the wall & ocassionally testing my patience with rainbow-flying colors, they are adorable. they picked up a few words here & there. words like "help", "plis", "pull"... are constantly being used. they have also been very headstrong these days & learnt how to say and use the word "NO!!!" with conviction. thus, you can just imagine my days having spent with them... 2 words: simply wonderful!!!!!
my hubby.... he is doing fine. yup, havent been travelling for a while but will be resuming his audit travels as soon as next month...  hmm.... now that im so used to having him home for 5 months or so... feels weird that he's going travelling again. i wonder when he is going to New Caledonia.. chockies from there are to DIE for!!!!
nways... the past 3 months (more or less) ive also made a few new friends.... they are so hilarious & have always been there to kill off my boredom. so thank you BAM, TINA, STORM, SOFEYA, JAS, NASIK, MD, BABY, BJ, HARP, ANA, BAITI, KK, VIZ, RIKO, CEMP, CIK DEE & KAWAH (i hope i dont miss out any names now....but just in case i did, sorry & will update it again ek) whatever it is, dim sum in december eh? ekekekekek...
ok then.. thats it for now....
