dinner @ my thai

this was on saturday. we had dinner at this restaurant in Auchenflower called MyThai. the food was excellent & service was superb. this would be our second time there. John & Val (lan's boss & boss's wife) sort of recommended us that restaurant & they were the ones who brought us there in the first place. the boys? we left them with their babysitter, rebecca. boys loved her.... terus tak layan we all when we left. no crying or whatsoever... and even went to bed with not much qualms at 9pm (the sitter texted me) thanks rebecca!!! not much pictures in the restaurant coz it was soo busy & we were of course enjoying the food. we had some tom yam, prawn fritters, some stir-fried beef...(forgot whats it called)... and some tofu. for desserts, lan had some vanilla ice cream with hot choc syrup, while i had bubur pulut hitam... by then... we were FULL!!!!
so anyways, we left the boys with rebecca from 7.30pm till about nearly 11pm. the next morning, adik was asking "wheres kakak..." and sulked that kakak rebecca is not there. oh well anyways... ive booked her for next month as well....

i didnt know what to cook today. thus i took out almost everything i had in my freezer for it to thaw... chicken breast, some beef & 7 drumsticks. hmm... just incase i want to cook anything that pops into my head, everything is already defrosted. (ada betul ka ayat ni?) so anyways, after doing some laundry, chatting on the net, reading a book, and flipping some new catalogues... finally, i decided on what to cook. i will cook chicken porridge with carrots & sweet potatoes for my bujangs, ayam masak pedas.... and some stir fry chinese cabbage with lean beef & black pepper... tarara!!!!!!!
p/s: thanks to all my friends yg sudi bagi idea of what to cook. siapa yg bagi idea masak sayur kampung tu..adeh la...where to find la itu sayur turi here? but thanks anyways. to MD, hope you enjoyed your KFC. to baby... the sambal tumis sounds delicious!!!

hair cut anyone?

i never brought my sons to any hairdressers be it in m'sia or here. here lagi la... im refuse to cough up some AU$30 for a toddler haircut. jgnkan budak... my hair pun like so tak senonoh. on my really bad hair days, the bad hair day statement is an understatement. ekekekekek.... just so you know how bad my hair is at the moment
nways, back to the boys; before this, i was the one who did their haircut till my mum & hubby complaint that their hair looked better b4 i interveined. hahahaha!!! i guess so la... coz whenever i give them a haircut, they kinda look compang-camping afterwards. but the boys dont seem to complaint much. they are really good customers. now, hazlan does all their haircut. personal barber la gi tu....
so this is today....

buka at nurul's & helmie

today, saturday; we berbuka at nurul's and helmie's. i sooo didnt know what to bring. first things first, in the morning at 10am, we had an interview with a potential babysitter. she's very pleasant and we're very comfortable with her. and our boys simply loves her!!! they even brought all their books and toys to her ajak si minah ni play with them. oh well... thats a good sign i suppose. ini bujang dari kecik sudah tunjuk trait... pantang nampak minah lawa sikit sudah put on their best-est attitude & charm. ceh...!!!! must have gotten that from their daddy.....
nways, back to the berbuka story... i so didnt know what to bring to nurul's & helmie's. nurul was telling me, "tak payah la...bawak perut je" hmm... as good as that may sound but takkan la nak bawak perut je kot... so i decided to make the simplest thing i could think of... and on top of my head... popiah goreng. easy, simple and thats the only thing i could think of at that time
we left at about 4ish pm from home to get to their place. i told her we'll be there about 4-5pm. thus we did reach there about 5mins to 5pm. so the timing couldnt be better. we were impressed!! they cooked up a storm...nasi ayam, the pink kuih with the kelapa parut (ekekek i know you bought that kelapa parut from coles..ekekekek) and another kuih which was sooo sweet that i forgotten its name (sorry nurul...i lupa the name for it). the boys had fun eating the watermelon that in the end we had to hid it. and lan & i with so muka tak malu finished up the nasi ayam... aiyah, sorry la nurul
& helmie.... ekekekeke.....
but all in all, i guess everyone had fun and full. i know lan & i was...dont know bout nurul & helmie tho. the boys had their version of fun by wrecking up their place and runnig around playing tag. anyways, nurul & helmie... sorry tho if we made an entire mess kat your place.... and thanks again for having ALL of us!!!!

u know how i love my boys playing together? well, i do. they keep themselves amused with each other every day with each others antics. i guess thats the good thing of having twins, that your bub already have a ready partner & only ONE pregnancy for me. they love playing catching, racing & talking with each other. of course there are times when they do argue & more often that not get into a fight. but biasalakan..... siblings. i remembered having huges fights with my sister while we were growing up. but at the end of the day, we always get onto each others good side... so same goes for my boys. well, back to the point here.... altho my boys LOVE playing with each other, there are certain times when things can get out of hand... for me at least. for them, its REALLY FUN... here is an instance of that 'getting out of hand' play

its just so so bright & sunny today. after doing some laundry, i immediately got the migraine. GOD... it was BRIGHT!!! i've still got another 2 full basket of clothes that needs washing. and on top of that, i've got like so many clothes that im suppose to fold & hadnt. i keep promising myself & my hubby that i'd get it done by yesterday but while putting the boys to sleep, i dozed off as well. by the time i woke up, took a shower, i was already too lazy & tired to do anything else but tuck myself into bed. i MUST... i HAVE to do it tonight!!!! i PROMISE!!!!!!!
oh... and whatever happened to that SAVO? so haprak. promised to come pick up stuff yesterday...so i waited the whole day but they didnt come. didnt even have the slighest courtesy to call & inform. ive got to call them again for pickup. the boxes bikin semak my garage!!!
on my 'rajin' part, today i cooked nasi lemak with some sambal tumis & beef rendang for buka.

this was yesterday...

you thought after a warm bath they would settle down & go to sleep. well, that didnt quite happen. at least not immediately. nways after their bath & banana flavored milk, i tugged them in their beds, kissed them & left. but all i heard on the baby monitor was laughing & talking & more talking. at last, adik opened their door room and both of them went "haiii mammmmiii" . there goes their napping schedule
oh well, nways, they played & played & played that they almost turned the playroom upside down and mind you the hall wasnt spared as well. then suddenly, all i hear was silence.... hmm... i guessed they were already gone zzzz.... normally they would climb onto their beds but this time, they didnt quite make it there. thus all curled up on their pull-out sofa in front of the TV.
p/s: happily to report that despite of their slight changes in their napping schedule earlier in the morning, they kept to their bedtime sleeping routine which is 8pm. and this morning they woke up as per schedule too... at 6am. since they know how to open doors now, after playing with each other for about half an hour or so, they will be on my bed literally shouting waking us (lan & i) up.

col bennette's park

|
today i brought the boys to the col bennette's park in Algester. its along Ridgewood Road... & its the only covered park i know around my suburb. theres loads of parks here i tell you!! around my house je there's about 3 parks... all walking distances.
nways, i reached there at about 9am after a quick run to macca's to grab breakie for my boys. met up with ronni, hannah & jordan. all of us had fun. obviously my boys gotten so filthy playing with all those bark dirt. i had to push those cycling things around for 3 rounds & that tire the hell out of me. i thought those things were only found in parks at gold coast!!!
